Two donations fill the shelves this summer
The Peace Pantry was blessed this summer with two donations that filled our shelves during a season when food donations are usually down. The Pantry recently received a whopping $10,000 for emergency food relief from the Bayer Grant Fund. The Bayer fund sponsors or partners with multiple programs that align with its mission, including food and nutrition programs, that can make a meaningful difference with their help. Another donation of food items came from St. Clare Hospital which recently held a food drive and delivered carts filled with food for the Pantry. Summer is a difficult time for pantries to acquire food and essentials, since most food drives and donations occur during the Holidays. Summer is also an important time to have more food, since children are out of school, and food insecure families do not have the assistance of school breakfast and lunch programs to feed their children. | A heartfelt “thank you” to the generous Bayer Grant Fund for bringing relief to those in need. Thanks also to St. Clare Hospital. Because of your generosity the Peace Pantry has shelves filled with food for the people we serve. |
Even More!
Thanks are also in order to Hope Lutheran Church in High Ridge which made a generous donation of personal care items to the Peace Pantry! Both near and far, caring people come together for people in need.
